Briceland Farmstead offers a unique sustainable farm stay experience in the heart of Humboldt County. Once a horse ranch, the original 1906 redwood barn still proudly stands, surrounded by Humboldt's National Parks, endless rolling hills, beautiful rivers and creeks, majestic redwoods, and nostalgic charm. The refurbished foreman's cabin allows our visitors to stay and participate in daily farm activities. Put on your overalls and wake up early with us for local coffee and farm-fresh eggs then head to our busy bee hives to check the honey, collect eggs from our gossipy hens, plant seed starts in the old greenhouse, or learn how to run a drip line into a garden bed. Join us in harvesting from our orchard and savor homemade meals crafted from the garden. We offer numerous on-site learning opportunities as well as small group classes, covering everything from making your own pizza from scratch to learning the basics of prescribed burns. Learn with us about agroforestry and permaculture principles, help build some furniture, or take a quiet walk through the orchard to enjoy time for yourself. There's always something (and nothing) to do if you choose.
